On June 27, 2009 I will be participating in an overnight walk in Chicago, IL. It is a 20 mile walk throughout the city at night, a candle lighting ceremony, and a list of special people that numerous families and friends have lost to suicide. There is a catch. In order for me to participate I need to receive $1000+ in donations. There is a simple way of donating online. Visit my DonorDrive page (
[link]), you will see a thermometer looking thing with a money goal to the side of it. Underneath there will be a link that says "Donate to this Participant". Any amount will be graciously accepted. This is such an important cause to me, but my parents don't seem to understand that.
Thank you for your time and please pass this word onto your friends and family.
Did you know?
Did you know that every 16 minutes somebody commits suicide? By just donating $16 you could potentially save somebody's life.
